Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about tickets, access and the festival venue.
What is Maspalomas Pride by Freedom?
It is Maspalomas Pride, in the south of Gran Canaria: a week of concerts, galas, parade, day parties and pool parties, organized by Freedom · LGBT Maspalomas Association.
The heart of the festival is the Pride Park, the main outdoor stage in the square of the Yumbo Shopping Center, around which all the programming revolves.
When and where is it held?
From Monday, May 3 to Sunday, May 9, 2027, in Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés (San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Gran Canaria).
The Main Stage is in the Yumbo Shopping Center square. Day parties and pool parties are spread across different venues in the area: each one appears on its event's page within the program.
What is Pride Park and is it free?
Pride Park is the main outdoor stage, in the central square of Yumbo, with live performances, DJs, galas and the big night parties.
Access to Pride Park is free until full capacity is reached. You do not need a ticket to enjoy the Main Stage program.
Do I need a ticket? What is free and what is paid?
It depends on the event, and you will see it marked one by one in the program.
- Free: the programming of the Main Stage in Pride Park, the galas, the parade, and the demonstration.
- Paid: the official day parties and pool parties.
If you plan to go to several paid parties, check out the passes: they usually work out cheaper than buying single tickets.
What passes are available and what does each one include?
There are three, and the difference between them lies in whether they grant access to parties or only to the VIP Zone.
- Full Pride Pass: May 3rd to 9th. VIP Zone of Pride Park, all official day parties and pool parties, 10 drinks, welcome pack, and official t-shirt.
- Mid Pride Pass: May 5th to 9th. VIP Zone of Pride Park, all official day parties and pool parties on those days, 5 drinks, welcome pack, and official fan.
- Pride Park Pass: May 3rd to 9th. VIP Zone of Pride Park and 7 drinks. Does not include entry to day parties or pool parties.
You can find the details and current price on each pass's page.
Where do I pick up my wristband?
At the bar in the VIP Zone of Pride Park, in Yumbo Square next to the Main Stage, or at the door of any of the official daytime parties.
The Full Pride Pass and the Pride Park Pass can be collected from May 3rd; the Mid Pride Pass, from May 5th. Bring your confirmation email with its QR code and an ID.
How do I buy tickets?
On this same website. Go to the event or season pass you want, choose the ticket, and pay by card.
You will receive a confirmation email with the QR code for each ticket. This code is what will be scanned at the door: you can show it from your mobile, there's no need to print it.
Is there a VIP area in front of the main stage?
Yes. The Pride Park VIP Zone is right in front of the Main Stage, with its own bar and the Yumbo square at your feet.
Access is granted with any of the three passes: Full Pride Pass, Mid Pride Pass or Pride Park Pass.
Which events are official?
Those that appear in the program on this website. They are those organized or endorsed by Freedom · LGBT Maspalomas Association, and they are the only ones whose tickets we sell here.
During Pride week there are many parallel parties in the area. They are not part of the festival, and the organization is not responsible for them or for tickets sold through other channels.
Where can I check the program and schedules?
On the Program page you have all seven days, day by day, with the time of each event and a filter by day.
Each event card includes its schedule, its venue when confirmed, the artist lineup, and the practical information that applies to it. You can also add any event to your calendar from its card.
How do I get to Maspalomas?
Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) is about 30 kilometers away. From there, there are regular buses to Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas throughout the day, and a taxi takes about half an hour.
Once in the area, almost the entire festival is done on foot: the Pride Park is in Yumbo Square, surrounded by most of the hotels. You have more details on the practical information page.
Where do I stay?
The festival is concentrated in Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas, so the closer you stay to the Yumbo Shopping Center, the less you'll depend on taxis.
Maspalomas Pride by Freedom 2027 official accommodations:
- Hotel Barceló Margaritas
- Hotel El Caserío
Book in advance: Pride week is high season in the south of Gran Canaria, and hotels in the Yumbo area sell out months beforehand.
Can you change the poster or the schedules?
Yes. The artist lineup and schedules may vary due to reasons beyond the organization's control, as indicated in the conditions of each event.
Any changes are published on this website, on the event page, and in the program. If you follow the festival on social media, we also announce it there.
Is the festival accessible?
We want Pride to be for everyone.
- Pride Park, in Yumbo square, is an open and flat space, accessible with a wheelchair.
- If you need assistance or an accessible point, speak to any member of the organization team: they are identified and there to help you.
- If you come with a specific need and prefer to organize it beforehand, write to us in advance and we will prepare it with you.
- At day parties and pool parties, accessibility depends on the venue: consult us before buying if you have doubts.
What should I keep in mind during the festival?
Pride lasts seven days and is best enjoyed with a clear head.
- Hydrate and protect yourself from the sun: water, a cap, and sunscreen are your best allies, especially at daytime parties.
- Consent is non-negotiable. Respect the space, body, and boundaries of other people.
- Protect your ears and take breaks: the party is long and is best enjoyed with rests.
- Use the bins and recycling points: let's leave the space better than we found it.
- In case of any incident, look for security or organization staff, who will be identified.
How do I make a trip more sustainable?
A better Pride is also a Pride that is more careful with the island that hosts it. These tips come from previous editions and are still valid.
Transport
- Use public transport to get from the airport and move around Gran Canaria: the bus reaches almost everywhere.
- Choose direct flights and companies with carbon offsetting options.
- Share a taxi, and if possible, a hybrid or electric one.
Consumption
- Bring a reusable bottle and take advantage of water points.
- Use your digital boarding pass and mobile tickets.
And also
- Choose accommodations with sustainable practices: renewable energy, plastic reduction.
- Consume local and seasonal products.
- Leave the beach and dunes as you would like to find them.
